Salvation

WE ALL NEED A SAVIOR IN THIS DARK, DYING AND SICK WORLD

John 3:16 – “God so loved the world, that he gave His only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

When we receive Christ and repent of our sins, we receive the gift of forgiveness, we receive eternal life and we become a new creation.  All of God’s promises, including Abraham’s blessings come upon us.  We become one with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and we are filled with the Holy Spirit of God.

The word salvation means “sozo” in the greek.  Sozo means – heal, to be made whole, to save, deliver, protect, preserve, do well, be made whole, recover, and restore.  it also means to properly deliver out of danger and into safety.  The word sozo is used when God rescues believers from penalty and the power of sin, and welcomes them into his provisions.

In Gal. 2:20 it says:  “I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.”

If we were co-crucified with Christ, then all those things that Jesus paid for were crucified with us too. they were put to death on the cross. Sin, death, lack, poverty, sickness, disease, rejection, abandonment, abuse, hurts, pains, wounds, betrayal and all the curse of the law is now null and void.

Gal. 3:13 – says “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us – for it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.”

Col. 2:14-15 “having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; He has taken it all away, nailing it to the cross. and, having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Jesus’s blood has redeemed us. He paid off all debt and He conquered the enemy, disarmed the rulers and authorities, and made a public display of triumph by the cross.

Because of the power of His blood we now have the ability to overcome sin and do the will of the Father.

Our bodies are now healed and restored back to health. 1 Peter 2:24

We are blessed and prosperous in our lives.  Deut. 28:1-14

We have the authority to rule and reign and whatever our hands touches it will prosper. We have the power to take back territory and claim and take dominion over our lives and territory. We are forgiven and set free from all inner hurts and woundings.

We are free from all generational curses.  Eph. 1:3-14

Redemption was predestined by the Father.  Eph. 1:3-6

It was accomplished by Jesus.  Eph. 1:7-10

And applied and sealed by the spirit.  Eph. 1:13-14

The cross is the center of all scriptures.  Without the cross, there would be no solution for mankind.  The spiral of sin began in Gen. 3, it had to be stopped.  The death of Jesus terminates the downward spiral of all Sin.  Jesus’s body, took on the sin of the whole world and paid the price of all humility to create a new humanity, family and kingdom.

This is the good news of the gospel!!
